We held our annual Christmas Dinner at the Quality Hotel on December 15th this year. The dinner was attended by 64 past or present Rotarians, spouses and children. A great time was had by all as we enjoyed the fellowship of friends, carol singing and a visit by Santa (aka James Stewart) and his elf Meilssa. One of the most important points of the evening
was the presentation of two cheques  for $875.00 to Operation Sharing's Bill Martin and to Owen Budden representing The Salvation Army. This was in response to the $1,750 that the club raised from our Auction for the District 7080 Shoebox Project.

We also revealed the newest President Elect. Graham Hart has accepted the role of President for the 2010-2011 year. Graham has been a member of the club since 1990. We look forward to having Graham as our President. At the request of Elly Hart a donation of $50.00 was made to the Mother Goose Program in lieu of flowers.

Entertainment for the evening was a carol sing led by Owen Budden, accompanied by Jim Gordon on the piano. Notable performances were made by Dr. Reid and Josh Macklin, son of Jon Macklin.

Santa handed out some great gifts including a new waterproof blackberry for President Dave and a waterproof sheriff's hat to President-Elect Richard Shaheen to be used at the 2009 Dragon Boat Festival.
